Abstract

A robust identification algorithm for the parameters of AR stochastic processes is presented. This technique often leads to better performance when the noise is correlated and/or nonstationary, and it is more robust to modeling imprecisions. The algorithm is used to analyze telecommunication traffic data, mainly video traffic (VBR) in ATM networks.
