Abstract

The most comprehensive high frequency intermodulation distortion measurements of vertical cavity surface emitting lasers (VCSEL) to date are presented, covering a spurious free dynamic range (SFDR) from 2-8 GHz. Measurements were taken using both free space coupling and transmission through graded index multimode fiber.
