Abstract

This article provides an overview of past and present developments in the digitization of Polish and Polish-American historical newspapers and periodicals. The focus is on the collections held by Polish libraries, including the National Library. The article examines access to and searchability of major digital collections and provides examples of digitized titles. Additionally, the article discusses the importance of including Polish-American newspaper content in the Library of Congress Chronicling America database.
