Relative time multiplexing of heralded single photons for efficient quantum communication

Abstract

We demonstrate relative time multiplexing of heralded single-photon sources, using a low-loss photon storage technique. Our scheme can realize efficient two-photon quantum communication protocols, e.g., measurement-device-independent quantum key distribution.
