Abstract

A method for refitting ro-vibrational specific radiation databases to vibrationally specific is discussed. A more compact database that is able to reproduce ro-vibrational properties and be coupled to a vibrationally specific kinetic solver is obtained by the application of said method. The method is applied to transitions of the Carbon Dioxide Spectral Databank 4000 (CDSD4000) that lie in the 4.3 µm region. A database (CDSDvib) is obtained with this method and is tested with several cases from the literature in the spectral region of interest. Good results are obtained up to temperatures of 2000 K.
