Abstract

A generic algorithm is developed for the conversion of ro-vibrationally specific radiation databases for CO2 to a vibrationally specific database. This yields a more compact database that may additionally be coupled to vibrationally specific state-to-state models or multitemperature models with different rotational and vibrational temperatures. The algorithm is applied to Carbon Dioxide Spectral Database 4000 (CDSD4000) and an extensive vibrational specific radiative transition list for the most abundant isotope of CO2 is obtained and compared against results of the ro-vibrational database.
