Reconstruction of metallic objects using a genetic algorithm

Abstract

An optimization method of reconstruction of metallic objects based on a binary local shape function (LSF) in cooperation with genetic algorithm is proposed. Satisfactory images show the method is useful for the optimization with binary LSF and is less prone to converge to a local minimum.
