Abstract
The article explores the discovery of the Cahokia Mounds State Historic Site with 3000 acres and the largest earthen mound in North America. It states that high accuracy laser LiDAR technology has revealed the Cahokian landscape that archaeologists never thought that existed. It also calls for support from the government to preserve the remaining parts of a prehistoric metropolis.
