Abstract
Refraction errors in satellite laser tracking data are evaluated by ray tracing through 3-D refractivity profiles. The results indicate that a range resolution of 1 cm or less appears feasible for satellite elevation angles above 10° if the tracking data are corrected using both spherical and gradient correction formulas.
