Abstract

The measurement of quantum phase slips (QPS) for large number of amorphous MoGe superconducting nanowires with various widths and length was presented. A combination of thermally activated phase slips close to superconducting transition temperature and QPS was used to describe systematic broadening of superconducting transition with decreasing cross-sectional areas. The slopes of current-voltage characteristics were measured to determine the sample's resistance. The wires were found to display increasingly broad resistive transitions with decrease in cross sectional area.
