Quantum mechanics: Foundations

Research output: Chapter in Book/Report/Conference proceedingChapter

Abstract

This chapter discusses three different points at which condensed matter physics makes contact with foundational issues of quantum mechanics: (i) The effects of Fermi and Bose “statistics” in macroscopic systems. (ii) The Aharonov-Bohm effect. (iii) Does quantum-mechanics retain its validity at the everyday level?
