Abstract
This essay explores the use of metaphors for the construction of individual and social realities, including ascendant metaphors utilized in Anglo-American law. Using a narrative approach derived from the writings of Jorge Luis Borges, metaphoric concepts of causation in law and social science are explored through an argumentative dialogue between two characters.
