Abstract

Three-dimensional metallo-dielectric photonic crystals were created by preparing a polymeric micro-scaffold using multi-photon direct laser writing and conformally metallizing the structures by electroless deposition. The resulting metamaterials behave at infrared wavelengths like metal photonic crystals.
