Abstract
This paper presents the preliminary ideas of a relational conceptual programming language CONPL 1990. CONPL allows users to use their own concepts instead of computer-related concepts to construct the program. It can also be used as a knowledge representation language. The paper gives the formal description of CONPL and discusses some implementation issues. The paper also explores its potential applications.
