Physical decomposition of a photonic crystal membrane heterostructure cavity laser

Abstract

We demonstrate the effect of the surrounding photonic crystal cladding in a photonic crystal membrane heterostructure cavity. The lasing wavelength is shifted from the Γ-point to the K-point by the photonic crystal heterostructure.
