Abstract
The post-translation chemical modifications (PTM) of neuropeptides were discussed. The study was carried out by using matrix-assisted laser deposition ionization time-of-flight (MALDI-TOF) measurements. MALDI-TOF mass spectra were collected using a Voyager DE-STR mass spectrometer equipped with delayed ion extraction. Using MALDI, the observation of the nitrated form is matrix dependent and found only with sinipinc acid where other common matrices yield little or no modified peak.
