Abstract

Element-by-element rational function fitting of network matrices of passive systems becomes necessary when dealing with broadband systems with large numbers of ports. This paper proposes and demonstrates a methodology for enforcing passivity of the synthesized element-by-element rational function fitting of the admittance matrix via the Passivity Enforcement via Quadratic Programming algorithm.
