Pass-transistor realisation of Boolean functions

Abstract

A formal procedure for the design of logic circuits using pass transistors is elaborated with the help of an example. Steering logic, which is composed of nothing but pass transistors, has the attractive features of high density, high performance and low power dissipation. The result of the procedure is in the form of a set of minimal solutions. The paper also describes the criteria for choosing the best solution.
