Abstract

'Parks and Other Green Environments: Essential Components of a Healthy Human Habitat', a research monograph published by the National Recreation and Parks Association, discusses the relationship between nature and human health. In particular, it focuses on the positive physical, psychological and social effects of living among parks and other green habitats. The research shows that greater access to green views leads to better cognitive functioning, more proactive patterns of life functioning and more self-discipline.
