Abstract

The purpose of this paper is to consider a method of analysis of the qualitative changes in the behavior of dynamical systems due to the introduction of zero mean parametric excitations. After a brief review and a slight refinement of previously developed technique for finite dimensional nonlinear systems, we consider an extension of this technique to a class of distributed parameter systems (DPS) governed by semi-linear parabolic equations. This extension can be utilized for the transient behavior anlaysis of the vibrationally controlled DPS.
