Abstract

We derive a rule for estimating the order of the rational function fitting needed for accurate macromodel generation via the time-domain vector fitting. The proposed rule defines a relationship between the order, N, of the rational function approximation, the time duration, T, over which the response is desired and the frequency bandwidth W of the excitation.
