Abstract

A Gycom, Ltd. 83 GHz gyrotron is currently being used at the Naval Research Laboratory for material processing applications. We report the results of experimental and theoretical studies performed in order to obtain higher precision in the control of the output power and to improve the efficiency over a wide range of operating conditions.
