Optimal interplanetary trajectories utilizing constant radial thrust and gravitational assists

Abstract

This paper presents the results of optimal interplanetary trajectories utilizing constant radial thrust and gravitational assists. The goal of these trajectories is to minimize flight time for a planetary flyby and to minimize the final impulsive velocity change for planetary rendezvous. Mini-Magnetospheric Plasma Propulsion provides the constant radial thrust.
