OpenIllinois: An Information System for Transparency in Illinois State Electoral Finances

Abstract

Governments have pursued political transparency through open data availability; however, even with these barriers addressed most people cannot make use of raw data. To address this issue we designed and created a platform that does data analytics in the realm of political campaign contributions in Illinois.
