Abstract

We document the formal transfer of the holotype, seven paratypes, and two referred specimens of the mitrate “carpoid” Diamphidiocystis drepanon Kolata amp; Guensberg (Echinodermata: Stylophora) from the Department of Geology, Southern Illinois University (SIU) to the paleontological collection of the Illinois State Geological Survey (ISGS) at the PRI Center for Paleontology. A tabulated list of the specimens cross-referenced with their new ISGS numbers is provided. The specimens come from the Cincinnatian (Upper Ordovician) Orchard Creek Shale (Maquoketa Group) near Thebes in Alexander County, southern Illinois.
