On the structure of the space of networks and traffic patterns

Abstract

Modeling of communication and other types of networks using the apparatus of (asymptotic) geometry of metric spaces is one of the emerging trend of network science. The notions of GH-convergence are well suited for the description of the geometry of networks per se. To describe the corresponding models for the spaces carrying (telecommunication of otherwise) traffic requires introduction of several notions, generalizing to the path spaces the basic ideas of the theory of mm-spaces.
