ON THE EMPLOYMENT OF VARIANCE FOR RELIABILITY MODELLING OF FAULT TOLERANT SYSTEMS.

Research output: Contribution to journalArticlepeer-review

Abstract

The paper discusses the importance of employing the variance of system lifetime in reliability modelling of fault tolerant systems. An approach to the reliability analysis and design of such systems which employs the first and second moments of system lifetime is proposed and illustrated through numerical examples.
