Abstract
The design of a 110-GHz, 100-kW gyrotron is presented. The setup is very flexible, allowing for the study of various resonator configurations. Resonant cavities with different longitudinal-mode spacings (7% greater than equivalent to DELTA f/f greater than equivalent to 0. 5%) are to be tested, as well as cavities having different electromagnetic-radiation waist lengths (r//0 equals 0. 6, 1. 2 cm).
