Abstract
The article provides information on the recovery of two objects originally typed as hammerstones from separate test units at the Mareston II site which clearly appear to be hard stone billets or granitic in Mercer County, Illinois in 2016. It mentions that a billet is a more specific tool type having a specialized function, while hammerstone's initial categorization was correct based only on use-wear.
