Abstract

The basic experimental facts known at present about NMR in liquid **3He-A and B: in the normal phase the resonance line is a very narrow line at the free Larmor frequency omega equals omega //L identical gamma chi //0. As we enter the A phase the line shifts to progressively higher frequencies. The values of omega //L used to date are such that omega //L is always greater than omega //0(T) at all T; Going into the B phase, the resonance frequency drops discontinuously back to omega //L. The susceptibility appears to have approximately at least the normal value in the A phase and to drop discontinuously at B to about half the normal value.
