Abstract

A new technique that combines the finite-element and boundary-integral methods and employs the conjugate gradient method and fast Fourier transform is presented for the numerical characterisation of electromagnetic scattering by inhomogeneously filled slots of arbitrary cross-section in a thick conducting plane.
