New results on the reverse link capacity of CDMA cellular networks

Abstract

The reverse link Erlang capacity of an IS-95 based CDMA system is studied under non-uniform traffic loading conditions. In particular, the variation in the capacity of a center cell surrounded by lightly loaded cells is assessed analytically, and its sensitivity to various factors is discussed.
