Abstract

Four new Mexican species of the leafhopper subfamily Megophthalminae are described and illustrated: Brenda gracilicauda, B. bidentata, B. licrocerca, and Tiaja leonensis. These species extend the known range of both New World megophthalmine genera considerably southeast. A key to New World Megophthalminae is provided.
