Abstract

The Near-optimal signaling for broadband fading channel is discussed. The The coherence time and the coherence bandwidth of the channel are represented by Tc and Wc respectively. The fading levels in different blocks are independent of each other. The channel within each coherence time are represented as a set of B parallel channels with BWc as the available bandwidth. The result show that the QPSK achieves the capacity in the broadband regime along with the optimal error-exponent curve.
