title = "Multispectral photoacoustic imaging of tissue denaturation induced by high-intensity focused ultrasound treatment",
abstract = "This paper presents an ex vivo study in imaging high-intensity focused ultrasound induced tissue denaturation with multispectral photoacoustic approach. Beef tissues treated by both water bath and high-intensity focused ultrasound were imaged and evaluated by photoacoustic imaging method, where light in multiple optical wavelengths between 700nm and 900nm is applied. Tissue denaturation after being treated by water bath and high-intensity focused ultrasound has been observed in multispectral photoacoustic images. The denaturation is more striking in relatively shorter optical wavelength photoacoustic images than in relatively longer optical wavelength photoacoustic images. This study suggests that multispectral photoacoustic imaging method is promising in the evaluation of tissue denaturation induced by high- intensity focused ultrasound treatment.",
