Abstract

The final chapter discusses the merits and potential limitations of the multiple cases of online language teacher education (OLTE) programs included in this volume. From there, the chapter will share implications for future research and practice at the crossroads of online education and development of teachers of English as a global language around the world. In particular, the chapter offers practical recommendations for teacher educators and teacher education programs in light of OLTE program development and implementation.
