Abstract

The Mound City Archaeological Society (MCAS) is the St. Louischapter of the Missouri Archaeological Society (MAS), founded in 1963. MCAS includes members from a variety of backgrounds including professional archaeologists, avocational archaeologists, and those with a general interest in archaeology. Through monthly lectures and public outreach events, we aim to grow our membership and ultimately increaseawareness of our region’s cultural resources.
