Abstract

A new internal model control structure, guaranteeing the offset free control, is proposed in this paper. The modified nonlinear internal model control requires only the inverse model of the plant, which considerably simplifies both design and implementation of the nonlinear control systems. Two inverse modelling techniques, requiring only the plant's input/output data, are investigated and successfully applied. One is based on the polynomial approximation and the least-squares method, and the other uses a feed-forward fully connected neural network and back-propagation algorithm.
