Abstract

Let G be a finite group, all of whose irreducible complex charactersare induced from linear characters. Suppose that G has a normal series of Hallsubgroups G i∇ G0 such that Gq = 1, Gn = G, and ∣Gi: G,i-1∣ is a power ofa prime, for each i = 1.n. If N is a normal subgroup of G, then everyirreducible complex character of N is induced from a linear character.
