Abstract

To explore the mechanism of floor heave of the roadway that traverses faults under high groundwater pressure, a mechanical model is established. At the same time, the stress distribution and failure characteristics of the roadway are analysed. Taking Zhaogu No. 2 Coal Mine as an example, some of the corresponding preventive measures are proposed to diminish the deformation of the roadway floor. The results showed that the main influence factors of the floor heave of roadway are the fault structure and the width of roadway. Comparing with circumstances with no fault, the amount of floor heave increases by 2.56 times when the roadway crosses faults. Under the condition of broken floor rocks, the wider the roadway is, the higher the floor heave is.
