Abstract

IEEE 896 Futurebus+ is a major open standard that is supported by the VME International Trade Association, the MultiBus Manufacturer's Group and the US Navy. Futurebus+ supports, among other things, the notion that each processor can have its own clock. In this paper, we present design considerations of the Futurebus+ clocks and their synchronization.
