Magnitude and sign control of index-antiguided coupling

Abstract

We show the first theoretical analysis of the coupling coefficient in passive indexantiguided coupling. Both magnitude and sign of the coupling coefficient are controlled by the interelement distance and index, enabling novel photonic applications.
