Abstract
The purpose of this chapter is to give an overview of optical aids for magnification, including detailed explanations of use of an operating microscope and surgical loupes. The chapter explains optics and correct use of magnification aids and informs how magnification and microsurgical techniques may be properly applied to exotic animal surgical practice.
