Abstract
The low temperature spin state of single crystal antiferromagnets gadolinium gallium garnet in the intermediate field (IF) phase was studied by measuring the thermal conductivity and heat capacity. Magnetocalorimectric measurements were performed to further characterize the evolution of the spin state with the field. The IF phase was found to be distinct from the spin glass phase.
