N2 - We report on new Yb-doped fluorosilicate optical fibers with reduced strength of Brillouin, Raman, and thermal Rayleigh scattering. Yb3+ absorption spectra strongly resemble borate glasses, with ultra-flat absorption in the 940nm region.
