Latino in the United States are the most numerous minority. As such their inclusion in popular media, in terms of representation, production and interpretation, speaks to their level of inclusion in the body politic of that nation. This article takes up the most salient issues in Latina/o media studies in the contemporary moment and finds that there are both ruptures and consistencies in Latina/o’s inclusion in popular media.
