Abstract

A discussion about the isothermal tuning of exchange bias (HE) and coercivity (HC) of antiferromagnetic (AFM)/ ferromagnetic bilayers was presented. It was found that the HE and HC were controlled at room temperature, after a sample growth, by applying pulsed fields. The effects observed in textured Fe50Mn50 based bilayers showed a decrease in HE while HC can either increase or decrease depending on the direction of the pulsed field.
