Abstract

Let p be a prime number, Q_p the field of p-adic numbers, Q_p a fixed algebraic closure of Q_p and C_p the completion of Q_p with respect to the p-adic valuation. Let G_p = Galcont(C_p=Q_p) be the group of continuous automorphisms of C_p over Q_p. We investigate isometric Galois actions of the Galois group G_p on subsets of C_p.
