Abstract

Electroosmotic flow in nanochannels with widths ranging from 0.95 to 10.00 nm was studied by molecular dynamics (MD) and continuum simulations. For the various cases considered, the finite size of the ions and the discreteness of the solvent molecules were found to significantly influence the ion distribution in the channel.
