Abstract

Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) are institutions with a unique mission-to aid a significant number of minority, low-income, and first-generation college students attain degrees. In this book, we discuss topics and issues about HBCUs that rarely make their way into the common conversation pertaining to these institutions. However, prior to this discussion let us explore what we do know already.
